Past Projects: PNG – Coastal Shipping

Commissioned by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for an assignment to act as Technical Expert on Shipping Regulation for the ADB who is providing technical assistance (TA) to the Government of Papua New Guinea for the preparation of a new National Transport Strategy. The overall objective is to review and prepare an advisory report on the regulation of coastal shipping and, in respect of cabotage rules, international shipping services within Papua New Guinea.
Adrian traveled to PNG in August 2010 and October/ November 2010 in order to conduct research and interview stakeholders and construct a draft policy of recommendations for the Coastal Shipping Study which has been concluded in January 2011.
